Some courses of study require students to complete a ‘look-around’ (snuffel) placement lasting approximately six weeks during their second year. Most NHTV courses require you to complete a six- or nine-month placement in the third year of study, either in the Netherlands or abroad. The second half of the fourth year is spent working on the final project. This final project may be independent research, or a project assigned by a company or organisation in the field the student will be active in in future. But you may also run your own business, possibly together with another student, as your final project.
