Rooi Pannen

SG De Rooi Pannen is an mbo-school (intermediate vocational education) located in Eindhoven, Tilburg and Breda. The department in Breda offers two studies: Catering industry and Tourism/Leisure. This school is known for its small-scale organization, good quality of education and years of experience in working with the travelling industry.

Tourism/Leisure

The study Tourism/Leisure is located in an old, characteristic building at Dr. Jan Ingen Houszplein. When you choose to follow the study “Tourism”, you are trained to work at a company in the tourist industry. Our students are trained to work at a travel agency, tour operator, an airline company, a hotel reception or in a tourist information office. You also have the ability to go and work abroad as a tour representative.

Should you choose to participate in our Leisure-course, you may find a job at a business specialized in Leisure. These businesses include: camp sites, bungalow parks, a resort hotel, animation -and entertainment companies.

Both of these studies can be done on an mbo-level 2 (2 years), level 3

(3 years) and level 4 (4 years). The level 4-studies are a good basis for students to continue their studies on hbo-level (higher vocational training; for example: NHTV also located in Breda). The department of Tourism and Leisure offers students a place where they are able to complete their studies while being in a fun and safe environment.

Catering industry

De Rooi Pannen offers education at a high level, which is characterized by a practical and specialised approach. De Rooi Pannen has modern facilities for practical training. In addition De Rooi Pannen maintains a close contact with  (regional) companies where work placements can be done.

The compact size of the department is characteristic for De Rooi Pannen. The Hospitality department is located at Tuinzigtlaan 12 in Breda. Here you find the training hotel which has fifteen rooms. It also has two restaurants with adjoining kitchens and a large conference room that can be divided into two smaller function rooms.

The courses that are offered are:

-          Waiter/waitress level 2 BOL/BBL (college-based/training-based route)

-          Cook level 2 BOL/BBL (college-based/training-based route)

-          Independently operating waiter/waitress level 3 BBL (training-based route)

-          Independently operating cook level 3 BBL (training-based route)

-          Manager/entrepreneur hospitality level 4 BOL (college-based route)

-          Intake Secondary Modern manager/entrepreneur hospitality level 4 BOL (college-based route)
